A gospel hit maker, he’s written for gospel greats like Bishop Paul Morton (“Cry Your Last Tear”), Smokie Norful (“Just Can’t Stop”), and Vanessa Bell Armstrong (“Help”), and made his gospel debut with Triumphant (2010).

It was arguably his chart-topping single, “Nobody Greater” that made us pay attention to this one-time self-described “regular guy.”

“I never got a glimpse of the artist [business] side, until I became the artist. I was doing records, working behind the scenes and writing for others. When ‘Nobody Greater’ hit, and the doors really opened, I had a chance to see a whole side of the industry that opened my eyes to the good and bad. I am a sponge and used it to my advantage to work to be a better artist the more I learned,” he shares.

Mitchell’s fans will experience a noticeable change in his sound on Unstoppable. The evolution is one he embraced because he uses his experience as a worship leader to deliver a sound consistent with the current wave of worship music and contemporary Christian songs.

“I want you to know you’re unstoppable and to think ‘I am unstoppable because God already knows who I will become. It’s just a matter of me traveling down this road called life to get there,’ ” the Stellar Award-winning artist encourages.

Unstoppable is not about being invincible, it’s really about understanding who you are in heaven and who you are on this Earth. God knows our ending before our beginning and I created the music to tell one big story that I hope empowers people. I want to change how we as believers think.”
