Solange Knowles honors Mike Brown
As many consumers get into gear for their holiday shopping, one product they won’t be able to get their hands on just yet is Solange Knowles‘ upcoming line of shoes.
Knowles who was set to release her “Wild Wonder” line of Puma sneakers Black Friday, decided to postpone the release due to the outcome of the Darren Wilson case.
She shared via Instagram…

Late last week, a grand jury decided not to indict Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Missouri, police officer who in August, shot and killed unarmed teen Michael Brown. Several stars since [like Knowles] have voiced their outrage over the outcome of the case which has also fueled protests across the country.
Back in November 2013, the newlywed announced her partnership with Puma on her Tumblr page saying…
“I am extremely excited to announce that I am now able to apply my passion for all things design into my new role as an art director for the iconic Puma!” she wrote. “It is in my new role that I am able to express my love for not only design but the conception of creative ideas, and the execution of them by curating amazingly talented teams.”
