Embattled comedian Bill Cosby was hit with a lawsuit earlier this week by another alleged victim of sexual assault. Judith Huth claims that in 1974, at the age of 15, Cosby got her drunk and forced her to perform a sex act in a bedroom at the Playboy Mansion. Huth is asking for unspecified damages for the encounter which she claims caused “psychological damage and mental anguish.”
However, Cosby attorney Martin Singer has stated that the “claims are absolutely false” and has countersued Huth over the allegations. Singer claims that Huth’s allegations are an extortion attempt and that she tried to sell her story to a newspaper 10 years ago to no avail. Singer stated that Huth’s lawyer’s approached him demanding $250,000 to prevent the lawsuit from moving forward against Cosby. But this time the comedian is fighting back against the allegations and legal maneuvering. Cosby’s lawyer has countersued Huth and her lawyer for $33,000 in legal fees arising from the filing of the lawsuit. In addition, Cosby’s legal team has stated in the lawsuit that Huth’s attorneys have not supplied medical certification of her newly discovered mental anguish.
More than a dozen women have come forward in recent weeks alleging that Cosby sexually assaulted them decades ago.
