Fans and friends of Mimi Faust told her multiple times that her ex-boyfriend Nikko had used her to get famous off of their sex tape, but each time Faust steadfastly defended her man. But now that the couple is broken up and truth of the sex tape has been exposed, Faust is finally getting candid about her thoughts on Nikko.
In an interview with radio host Egypt Sherrod, Faust explained that despite her near undying devotion to Nikko, she was never in love with him.
“I describe it as having fun, having a good time, just living my life. I was finally out of a situation that I was very unhappy with for many years. I was very unhappy with Stevie J,” Faust said.
Looking back on the relationship, Faust says that Nikko was simply a rebound gone wrong.
“In hindsight, 20/20 looking back, it was all bad. All wrong for me,” she said.
As fans of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” will remember, Nikko claimed that he lost the original tape of him and Faust having sex when his luggage was stolen at an airport. However, once the tape miraculously made its way to Vivid Entertainment, he convinced Faust to film extra scenes for the tape and release it for sale.
Now, after years of defending Nikko, Faust admits that she believes he used her.
“I think he used me to get to where he wanted to be. I think he wanted to get his music out; he wanted to get his brand out there; he wanted to get himself out there and I was the platform to get him to where he wanted to be,” she said, although saying that she doesn’t “know for a fact” that Nikko leaked the tape to Vivid.
Well, we know the fans and several of her classmates believe he did, and at this point who could blame them for thinking so?
But what does Faust feel about Nikko’s other lies. Find out after the cut. – nicholas robinson
