Kenya Moore may think she’s owed an apology in the Apollo Nida scandal, but on Sunday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” nearly all of her fellow housewives refused her request, including Nida’ estranged wife, Phaedra Parks. And Parks recently explained why, despite Nida’s confession that he lied about Moore propositioning him, she still doesn’t trust Moore.
Parks discussed her “RHOA” nemesis in an interview for Bravo’s blog and she explained that she let go of her issues with Moore and Nida’s inappropriate relationship long before her sit down with Moore.
“I moved past this years ago. Unfortunately, Kenya has continued to harp on this matter in order to remain relevant. Some of us have jobs and families to keep our minds and lives fully occupied,” Parks explained.
But when asked if the slate has been wiped clean between her and Moore, Parks explains that Moore has done too much damage to ever come to the table with a truly clean slate.
“But to answer the question, it depends how you define the term ‘wipe the slate clean.’ If that means I’ve let all the craziness go and moved on with my life, then yes. If that means we’re going to be friends and I believe Kenya was somehow wronged, then no. After Apollo said he had been lying, Kenya has been doing the vindication dance and expecting the rest of us to have an epiphany that she is a wonderful human being. The fact remains that Kenya often acts in an inappropriate, disrespectful, and unbecoming manner towards a lot of people. And has done so for quite some time. As such, it is irrelevant whether Apollo was lying back then, or is lying about lying now.”
Parks added, “Kenya’s consistent behavior from inappropriately interacting with married men to screaming at people, who are in close proximity, through a bullhorn is unacceptable and independent of anything Apollo may or may not have done or said. In short, as it relates to whom and how Kenya is, her consistent actions speak louder than Apollo’s words.”
Well, it’s safe to say that most fans weren’t holding their breath for a friendship or even a truce between Parks and Moore, especially not after all of the damage they’ve done to each other. As usual, we expect to see the same cat fights between these two ladies as long as they have to share screen time together. – nicholas robinson
