If you’re like many parents across the United States with small kids, you may have purchased the latest toy from the popular Hasbro “Play-Doh” line. The set is called the “Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset” and was the No. 1 best seller on Amazon.com this holiday season. But when children opened the play set, the parents noticed something shocking — one of the pieces looked like a penis.
Outraged parents showed their concern on social media, especially Facebook, and launched a series of complaints to the toy maker with the pictures of the offending toy. In the pictures, the toy clearly looks like a penis, and now the maker of the toy has responded. Hasbro posted the following to its Facebook page:
Some people feel that parents were over reacting to the shape of the toy. However, the toymaker apparently agrees that the toy does look like a penis.
