Mama Joyce has been on a raging crusade against her daughter Kandi Burruss’ marriage to Todd Tucker ever since “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star got engaged more than a year ago. Although Joyce claimed last year that she was going to stay out of Burruss’ marriage and stop shading Tucker both on and off camera, it seems like Joyce recently changed her mind because she’s back to blasting Tucker, once again.
In a recent interview with RadarOnline, Joyce talked about her recent “RHOA” drama with Burruss over a home that she gave to her mother that was damaged by Joyce’s boyfriend. Despite claims from fans and cast mates that Joyce is ungrateful and using her daughter, Joyce asserts that she’s never mistreated her daughter.
“I didn’t take from Kandi, I didn’t use her, ever,” Mama Joyce told Radar. “Kandi respects me and Kandi knows I raised her by myself and I sacrificed for her and I never spent her money. I was the one that helped her accumulate what she has.”
Joyce then took aim at Tucker and explained that she doesn’t think he earns enough money to have earned Burruss’ hand in marriage.
“I want my child to be happy and I didn’t want her to be taken advantage of. I wanted Kandi to marry somebody that had as much as she did,” said Joyce.
But despite her harsh critiques about their marriage, Joyce claims that she’s made peace with Burruss’ choice.
“I made up my mind that if that’s who she chose, then I am happy for her. I am not going to stress about it and I’m just going to accept it,” Joyce said.
