Say goodbye to VH1s ‘Sorority Sisters’

Wow, Black people spoke up and their voices were actually heard at VH1. Apparently, the boycott of sponsors and harsh criticism of the reality show “Sorority Sisters” has reached its goal and the show is being canceled. All three remaining episodes will air this coming Friday. the last three episodes will air at 9:30, 10:20 and 11:10 p.m.

The cancellation comes a week after two cast members were suspended from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Protests from the Black Greek Letter community reached out from local chapters and members to the national office. Pressure was put on advertisers such as Honda, Kellogg’s and the NBA to pull sponsorship from the program and it worked.
