We’ve all come to realize that it’s not unusual for unarmed Black men to be shot and killed by police. However, a racist white man in Oklahoma shot a Black police chief in the chest, never encountered any bullets from police, and didn’t get charged with a crime.
According to The Oklahoman, officers in Sentinel, Oklahoma, responded to a bomb threat. Sentinel Police Chief Louis Ross and other officers located the caller and went to his home to investigate.
While in the home, Ross went into a room and Dallas Horton shot him four times in the chest and once in the arm.
The other officers never shot at Horton or attempted to meet him with force. Instead, he was handcuffed and detained for a few hours. The police eventually allowed Horton to go free without any charges,
It was also determined that Horton was a racist who often posted hateful messages on Facebook. He called Michael Brown a “thug” and was upset that individuals from the White House attended his funeral. Horton also voiced his ludicrous opinion on the spread of Sharia law.
Horton’s actions prove that he is a racist who is volatile and dangerous. But he continues to walk the street after nearly killing a Black police chief.
