Last year, there were whispers that TV One’s hit show “R&B Divas ATL” might not come back for a fourth season. Last week it seemed like fans finally got an answer on the fate of the show when rumors swirled that the show had definitely been canceled. Now the show’s creator and producer, Nicci Gilbert, has opened up about the rumors of the cancellation.
Yesterday, Gilbert posted a photo of several “R&B Divas” cast members on her Instagram page with the caption “3 words #ThinkFactoryMedia…SMGDH.”
When a fan asked Gilbert why “R&B Divas ATL” had been canceled and about the rumors that Claudette Ortiz has left “R&B Divas LA,” Gilbert explained that she has no idea what’s happened to her franchise.
“@313levels I have no idea love u have to ask #PhilThornton or #ThinkFactoryMedia im too distracted fighting for the money they have held from me on both franchises I created while they turn the series into whatever THEY think people wanna see. I havent [sic] been creatively involved since Season 1 of ATL. They just decided to take it, try to destroy my character, not pay me and tie me up for 2 yrs in legal fees,” she wrote.
And that’s not all that Gilbert had to say. Read her other comments after the cut.
