Kevin McCall comes clean about his Instagram fight with Wale

With his on again, off again, romance with actress and model Eva Marcille, it’s been a rocky few months for singer-songwriter Kevin McCall.

McCall most recently made the news for saying some disparaging things about rapper Wale in a fit of jealousy after Marcille left a flirty comment on a Instagram post by the “Lotus Flower Bomb” rapper.

In a recent interview with VladTV, McCall says it was actually Wale’s fans that made him aware of Marcille’s comment.

“I don’t follow Wale. I don’t follow her. But his fans threw him under the bus,” McCall said. “Thank your fans! Wale, I’m mean, sorry. You can holla at me when you see me.”

After fans made him aware of the comment, McCall admittedly got defensive and lashed out with a not subtle message about not being jealous of a man with herpes, but never specifically said Wale’s name. Nevertheless, many fans assumed that’s who the shot was aimed toward.

“Any genius would know you don’t respond to that, because it’s gonna seem like it’s true,” McCall said. “He called me. I don’t know how he got my number. I was already turned up, because I’m like ‘I didn’t give you my number. But we’re gonna have this conversation.’ ”

McCall goes on to say that he appreciated that Wale didn’t attempt a tough guy act when they spoke on the phone and because of that, he decided to apologize to the rapper.
