Nick Gordon’s recent catastrophe of an interview with Dr. Phil showed the world the depths of Gordon’s severe depression over the death of Whitney Houston and the near-drowning of Bobbi Kristina. It also showed his abuse of alcohol and drugs, with the young star acting erratically and slurring his words throughout the ordeal. Although Gordon checked into rehab after the interview was over, a new report reveals that, besides a failing mental state, Gordon’s health was fading as well because his kidneys were failing.
During the bizarre interview, Gordon shockingly told Dr. Phil that he was drunk and that he had been using Xanax to cope with his pain over Bobbi being comatose. He even remarked that “My kidneys hurt so bad.”
According to RadarOnline, sources claim that “His kidneys were going into failure. He would have been hospitalized if Dr. Phil had waited another day.”
Luckily for Gordon, after pleas from both his mother, Michelle, and Dr. Phil, he decided to go to rehab and he was taken to Willingway Hospital in Statesboro, Georgia, after filming.
Sources say that Gordon’s progress “looks promising.”
We’re glad that Gordon is now in rehab and we hope he’s dealing both with his physical health and the crushing depression he seemed to be drowning in before the interview.
