International reggae artist Pressure Busspipe recently announced the arrival of his newest album titled, Lovers Rock, which is expected to drop in April.
Born and raised in St. Thomas, U.S Virgin Islands, Busspipe made a name for himself performing on the local circuit. He was introduced to the mainstream world of reggae music in 2007 when his song, “Love and Affection” was included in the hit Reggae Gold compilation. Busspipe has since performed on the “Wendy Williams Show” and toured all over the globe. As ambassador of the U.S. Virgin Islands Tourism Board, Busspipe’s image and music are used in all of their promotional ad campaigns.
In an exclusive interview, Busspipe explains that Lovers Rock is a compilation of original love songs dedicated to women who are dealing with the absence of love. “Reggae music is love and the world needs love,” Busspipe explains.
With his first hit single, “Love and Affection,” he gained a huge female fan base. “I know that they have been looking for more of that sensual type of music and thats exactly what this album delivers,” he says.
After producing three or four exemplary albums, including Africa Redemption, Busspipe says that it’s time to reach back out to the ladies with Lovers Rock.
