The UNCF’s “An Evening of Stars” returned to Atlanta for the second consecutive and it was one of their best productions. Hosted by Anthony Anderson, it was held at the Atlanta Civic Center on April 12, 2015. The 36th event highlighted the organization’s commitment to education and support of its 37-member institutions.
In 2010, Target announced plans to give $1 billion for education by the end of the 2015 fiscal year and they have kept that commitment. Target’s executive vice president and chief corporate social responsibility officer attended the event and presented the scholars to the press. She was also a walking billboard for the retail giant, which is celebrating its upcoming collaboration with the fashion brand, Lily Pulitzer.
