A Clark Atlanta University student is missing after telling her family she was driving to her commencement ceremony on May 18. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Alexis Jones-Rhodes left her family’s home around 4 a.m. wearing a graduation cap and gown.

However, when her family arrived at the commencement ceremony at Panther Stadium hours later, they never saw Alexis walk across the stage to receive a diploma. The family attempted to contact Alexis and have yet to hear back from her since that day.

But the family also discovered that Alexis was not an actual graduate. Officials at Clark-Atlanta University revealed that Alexis did not have enough requirements to graduate from the HBCU. They also said that she did not purchase the cap and gown from the school.

Alexis has since been found safe in Illinois.
