Ray McDonald has got to be the most less than smart player in the NFL right now. Who gets arrested three days after being arrested on domestic violence charges? Someone please give this man a hug and a compass so he can know how many feet it takes to violate a restraining order.
According to a Santa Clara news release: “On Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at about 2:52 p..m., Santa Clara detectives learned Ray McDonald violated a restraining order for being at a residence in Santa Clara. Detectives later located Ray McDonald at a nearby Togo’s Sandwiches, 2203 Tasman Dr. in Santa Clara. Ray McDonald was arrested without incident and transported to Santa Clara Police Department for processing. He will be booked at Santa Clara County Jail.
“The restraining order Ray McDonald violated was issued as a result of his earlier domestic violence and child endangerment arrest which occurred in Santa Clara on May 25, 2015.
“This is an ongoing investigation and further information will be released when it is available.”
The domestic violence charge against Ray last Monday was for child endangerment. Apparently he slapped a girl while she was holding a baby. The Chicago Bears and the NFL are really not playing the whole domestic violence game with these players and Ray McDonald was released from the Bears six hours after being arrested. You got guys like Arthur Ray Jr.getting overlooked for the NFL draft because he fought cancer in high school, which makes him a high risk (cancer survivor) due to the possibility the cancer may come back. Meanwhile on the ranch, you got cancer on the team of the Chicago Bears. Yes Ray McDonald your attitude is very cancerous and your disposition will not be accepted by the NFL.
It might not have been too wise to go and grab a sandwich at the Togos after violating your restraining order. I guess criminals have to eat too.
This isn’t the first time Ray has had domestic violence charges. Back in August of 2014 when he was with the 49ers he had a similar incident but no charges were filed. See ladies, this is what happens when you think you are being kind and you don’t press charges. It doesn’t help the violaters do better. It simply empowers them thinking they can do it again and get away with it.
Adding insult to injury the 49ers released McDonald four months later when his name was mentioned in a sexual assault charge. Talk about a person with a lack of respect for women. The Bears’ general manager, Ryan Pace, then signed McDonald to the team because the organization believes in giving players a second chance. I’ll bet now they “used to” believe in second chances.
My wish is the NFL retires this guy’s number so the next player won’t be remotely associated with walking in this man’s shoes or wearing his uniform.
