What ever happened to the right to remain silent?

I believe that’s a concept for actual criminal arrests, to stop roadside interrogation without the presence of a lawyer. This right does not prevent arrest or make one immune to scrutiny. Clearly though, this woman had no actual ability to remain silent anyway.

While I’m a bit dubious on the arrest, she was impeding the officer’s ‘investigation’ into a reported incident. Her cooperation here is necessary since she was the person in question. She was given an opportunity to share her side of the story… apart from flinging her own accusations, she declined and became belligerent. This is a good example of how to escalate an otherwise benign situation with the police into one where you end up arrested.

WHAT? THE AINT GOT NO black men to shoot in the back no more? scared to follow harrass and humilitate black men ? now they target black women . the white lady seem to be lieing and they had no proof of her acgtions so why did he feel the need to ask her name and then pull her down she has a right not to give her name if she dont want to , if she did nothing wrong .at least establish wrong doing . road rage is nothing to lock her up for if no one was injured ….. the white lady just knew they were gonna side with her that is usually the way it goes . . a white person call the police on you most ot the time they will arrest you for no proof of wrong . hope she sue the hell outta them for putting her child life in damnger

I don’t believe the right to remain silent gives you immunity to arrest

lol, yeah… that black woman was confrontational from the get-go, and only got more crazy as it went on. She was acting exactly how the white lady said she was acting. But, sure… you wanna kill all crackers? Get started. We’re waiting.

that situation could have been avoided has she simply gave her name just for references. smh… an incident took place and the police were called. they need to know who they are talking to. they did not ask her to prove who she was, and also gave her 2 minutes. im sure they were tired from listening to the first lady b!tch seeing she hadn’t any damages. but since they were out there and she decided to put up a stink, why not! sorry to say. pick your battles folks..
