The beautiful people were out in full force at Vertigo Sky Lounge in Chicago for the Matt Legrand listening party-video release. The Gold Coast came out to celebrate the release of Legrand’s video “SPRING BREAK GRL.” The song is a feel-good rap song with a pop feel. It’s going to be great for the summer. The video is a stark contrast from the weather we are currently having in Chicago. The video was filmed on location in Miami by Impakt Studio.
There was a rumor that the event was canceled and that maybe Legrand would not be able to make it. His manager assured the crowd that it wasn’t true and then a video started to roll showing Legrand riding an elevator as he apologized for being late. The house lights go down, the stage lights go up and Legrand runs onto the stage with his dancers to perform “Spring Break GRL” live in front of a packed house.
The surprise of the evening was to see Chicago’s hip-hop legend Twista, join the stage to drop a hot 16 on Matt’s song “Fire.” The crowd erupted once Twista started to deliver his signature rapid fire flow. As Monday nights go in Chicago, this one proved to be an official way to set the summer off.
It will be interesting to see what Matt Legrand has to offer the world of music. If last night is any indication, he has a promising future. If you would like to hear more of Matt Legrand’s music click HERE.
