In the book, Halperin quotes Kevin Ammons, Houston’s former bodyguard, who says that Houston’s father was completely against his daughter being involved wih Crawford and he was afraid Crawford would leak the alleged private romance to the press.
Ammons claims John once told him, “We’ve got to do something about that mother—-ing b—h. She’s ruining my family and driving everybody nuts. She’s lost her grip on reality. I’ll pay you $6,000 if you put the fear of God in her.”
Ammons says he turned down John’s request, but John then “warned the bodyguards to ‘keep an eye’ on Robyn.”
