Maya Rudolph: Actress Impersonates Rachel Dolezal on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’
Maya Rudolph is hilarious. Rachel Dolezal should have seen it coming. She will be the butt of jokes and a costume favorite this Halloween whether she likes it or not. On Monday night’s episode, the mixed-race actress Maya Rudolph, wearing a wig, and Seth Meyers re-enacted the interview in which the ex-NAACP chapter president was asked if she was African-American. Rudolph donning an afro, does her best Rachel Dolezal improvisation.
Rudolph says people ask her every day to do the impression. “I gotta say, the whole thing is very fascinating to me.”
This happens to be the best impression from the former “Saturday Night Live” star since her departure in 2007. It’s a cute impression, but not sure if it’s as funny as Tina Fey’s impersonation of Sarah Palin. What are your thoughts?
