Taraji P. Henson was the talk of the town this week after the Emmy nominations were announced and it was revealed that she made history alongside Viola Davis by being the first two Black women to be nominated at the same time for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. However, Lee Daniels isn’t too happy with the Television Academy, right now, over what he feels is an Emmy snub and he recently made it a point to publicly blast the Television Academy.

Aside from Henson’s landmark nomination, “Empire’s” costume designers Paolo Nieddu, Eileen McCahill, Rita D. McGhee and Sukari McGill garnered nominations in the Outstanding Costumes for a Contemporary Series.

However, “Empire” itself failed to earn a nomination for Outstanding Drama series, despite its monstrous and groundbreaking ratings and critical acclaim. Adding insult to injury, the series’ other lead actor Terrence Howard was snubbed out of any nominations, as well.

Well, Daniels didn’t take the news too kindly and he hopped on Instagram to let the world know what the Television Academy could do with their snubs. Check out his response after the cut.
