Nicki Minaj wants to clear the air and make it known that it’s impossible for anyone to ever ghostwrite for her.

While her friend and labelmate Drake is facing trial in the court of public opinion over accusations that he uses a ghostwriter, Minaj felt the need to remind the audience at a recent stop on her The Pinkprint Tour that she pens her own lyrics and it’ll stay that way.

“A b—h a– n—a can’t write my raps. You know why? You don’t have the heart or the mind frame or the motherf—–g intellect b—h n—a,” Minaj told the audience.

Though she didn’t mention anyone by name, her boyfriend Meek Mill did when he made an appearance later on in the show. Taking the moment to share his thoughts on Drake’s diss track aimed at him with the Brooklyn, New York, audience, the “Amen” rapper told the crowd he was far from impressed.

“That s–t was very soft. Baby lotion soft. We ain’t gonna focus too much motherf—–g energy on that,” Meek said. “If you’re gonna be the motherf—–g greatest of this s–t, just make sure you’re doing your motherf—–g pen game and keeping it all the way a motherf—–g hundred. Cause it’s levels to this s–t.”

Minaj has not altogether avoided the ‘ghostwriter’ chatter over the course of her career.

New Jersey-based rapper Ransom once released a song that many felt he was heavily hinting that he had written for Minaj. And former longtime boyfriend Safaree has also speculated in the past that he’s assisted Minaj with numerous lyrics over the course of their relationship.
