When Caitlyn Jenner first came out as transgender during her Diane Sawyer interview, she explained that she didn’t consider herself to be gay, but she shared that she’s still attracted to women. Although many viewers were confused by Jenner’s reasoning, it seems that Jenner may have been unsure about her sexuality as well, which is understandable considering the major transformation her life has undergone. And in a new clip for her reality series, “I Am Cait,” Jenner ponders whether or not she’s attracted to men or women.
In the clip, Jenner sits down for dinner with other transgender women and they grill her on what it’s like to date as a trans woman. Specifically, they ask her if she plans on dating men or women.
“I know you’ve said may times that you’ve only been attracted to women,” one dinner guest tells Jenner.
“I’ve only been with women,” Jenner responds. “I’ve got bigger things than an orgasm to worry about.”
When the other ladies ask the whole table to raise their hand if they’re attracted to men, Jenner explains that “I don’t know.”
“Are you gonna date women? You gonna date men? What are you gonna do? I don’t know!” she explains in her confessional.
Well, the premise of the show was definitely to watch Jenner on her journey to becoming a well-rounded trans woman and this is definitely proof that she’s learning about her life and desires just like her viewers are. We’re interested to see what Jenner discovers about her sexuality and we’re sure she’ll let viewers in on her discoveries as she finds them.
