Wiz Khalifa may have been a victim of racial profiling. During a recent visit to LAX, Wiz Khalifa rode his Hoverboard through the airport before being stopped by a multitude of police officers.
During the confrontation, which was filmed by an onlooker, Wiz asked the police officers why he was being questioned for riding a Hoverboard. “I didn’t do nothing. What you want to do? Put me in jail because I didn’t listen to what you say?” he said.
Another video clip showed Wiz being slammed to the ground by three cops who place him in handcuffs. While placing the handcuffs on Wiz, the police could be heard yelling, “Stop resisting arrest,” several times. However, it’s clear in the video that Wiz was complying with the police officers and told them, “I’m not resisting, sir.” One police officer continued to press his knee on Wiz’s back while twisting his arm.
The LAPD has yet to reveal why Wiz was handcuffed, but the Pittsburgh-based rapper took to Twitter to share his side of the incident.
