This past weekend, celebrities, influencers and gaming enthusiasts gathered for the invite-only #RISETOGETHER NBA LIVE 16 preview party at Terminal 23 in Midtown Manhattan. NBA All-Star and NBA LIVE 16 cover athlete Russell Westbrook joined guests in testing the game’s newest features, graphics and gameplay. Each guest was also given an opportunity to shoot hoops at the exclusive gym – which was transformed into a co-branded party space.
EA SPORTS developers were on hand to give guests tutorials of the game, including its new Pro-AM features. On Tues., Sept. 15, the public will be able to access a complimentary demo of NBA LIVE 16’s new Pro-AM feature. The game officially releases on Sept. 29 across multiple platforms.
Event attendees sipped cocktails and enjoyed small bites while listening to the sounds of internationally known DJ, Mick and enjoyed a special performance by rap icon Jadakiss. Other celebrities in attendance included Chandler Parson (professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks), Jim Jones (hip-hop recording artist and member of famed rap group Dipset), La La Anthony (TV and radio personality and wife of NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony), Maino (platinum hip-hop recording artist), Mr. Goldstein (NBA Superfan), Naturel (world-renowned street artist), and Treach (actor and member of the award-winning hip-hop group Naughty By Nature).
