Rolling out sat down with Stephan Labossiere to talk about his coaching business, books, and upcoming professional and singles tour.

What led you to coaching with a focus on relationships and dating?

I’ve always been the guy that people came to for advice and guidance. People would always tell me their deep dark secrets. This was happening to me as far back as 14 years old. As I got older, I gravitated towards different businesses. But once I got closer to God, he pointed me in this direction. I genuinely know this is my purpose because I am able to see deeper into people’s lives. I know when people are hurting. I feel it’s important that people get the help they need and coaching is going to provide that.

Are you married? If so, how has this work helped your life?

I am single. I was married when I was younger. People tend to question how a single man can talk about relationships. I realize that relationships are just about understanding people. If you understand men, women, and how two people can coexist then you know relationships. The same tools needed to make a romantic relationship work can be used in a business relationship and with family. Being single and getting closer to God has helped me understand things on a greater level. I take relationships seriously. I want to be in the right one with a genuine connection. I want to make sure I am ready because I am not looking just to have a girlfriend. I am looking for a wife.

What has been your biggest lesson while coaching?

We lack healing in this world and all issues stem from a lack of healing. Especially in the black community. We focus so much on surface issues, but we have not found peace with ourselves. As a result, we have people acting out by doing things they should not do and being in relationships they should not be in. If people take the time to heal, we would see a tremendous change in marriages and families.

What motivated you to write your books God Where Is My Boaz?He Who Finds a Wife: A Man’s Guide to Finding the Women & Loves He Deserves and How to Get a Woman To Have Sex With You If You are Her Husband?

As crazy as this is going to sound, I don’t see myself as a writer or author. I see myself as man who has a message that has to be communicated through different avenues. Those books are about what I feel the people need to hear.

When I wrote How to Get a Woman to Have Sex With You …, I was surrounded by married couples that needed help. I was coaching them and every last one of the husbands were complaining about a lack of sex. I prayed and God told me to write God Where is My Boaz? Thank God I did, because the impact has been amazing. I wrote He Who Finds a Wife… out of principal. It is the male version of Boaz. It’s funny because most people would swear I have more books for women than men. But as you can see, two of those books are for men.

You have over 500,000 followers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.  What do you attribute your popularity to?

I attribute it to investing in my business. I am not going to sit here and act like I am so special that people flock to me. I study everything. After I read Think and Grow Rick: A Black Choice, I had to embrace the fact that I was not using my resources to expand and grow my business. I got my Facebook to blow up by investing in advertising, partnerships, and doing all kind of things to get traffic to my page. Every time I have gotten a huge boom it’s been because I invested in the business.

How has social media helped your business?

I have been able to sell books and be seen and heard by more people. I have also invited to more speaking engagements. The quote “hustle until you no longer have to introduce yourself” inspires me. By focusing on growing the social media and improving my craft, more opportunities have come my way.

What advice do you have for people who are single and looking for their life partner?

They have got to look at themselves in the mirror and understand they are not as good as they think they are. I don’t mean that in an insulting way or to make anyone feel bad. However, a lot of people want to blame everything outside of themselves as to why they are single. The reality is their biggest issue is themselves. It could be a lack of healing or the way they are presenting themselves or they are not emotionally available.

Also, you have to look at what you are putting out there. What are you projecting? How are you contributing to the relationship not going in the direction you want?  People have to look at relationships more seriously. Having a good relationship takes work but people think it should be easy. You may have to use the same amount of energy one uses to create an amazing business.

You just launched the Professional and Single Tour. What can attendees expect?

They can expect an entertaining and enlightening experience that is going to help them obtain the tools to have greater success in love and in business. It’s going to be very honest because that is what people need in order to achieve more in their lives. The event is just not for professionals. However, I did name it professional and single because that is a demographic struggling with relationships.
