Fashion Guerilla showcased some of Hong Kong’s most innovative, up-and-coming designers. Previously held in Paris, Tokyo and Singapore, the runway show came to New York Fashion Week on Sept. 15.

Entertainment personalities such as Karrueche Tran, Destiny Owusu, Olivia Culpo, Simon Collins, and Ashley Smith watched models fashion the designers’ Spring/Summer 2016 collections. Daydream Nation, Injury, Methodology, and Placed by Gideon included their clothing and accessories for both men and women.

Daydream Nation was founded in 2006 and has since taken the fashion world by storm, dressing pop star Kesha and actress Juliette Binoche. Creators Kay, Jing, Tore and Gemma eventually began winning prestigious awards for their designs, such as Vogue Talent 2010 by Vogue Italia and Hong Kong’s Ten Outstanding Designers Award.

“We felt a strong kind of prejudice against daydreamers, especially in Hong Kong,” the creators said. “This nation of dreamers and lovers, became a place where we see boats in buckets, and hear sea waves in radio glitches.”
