FOX News may lean conservative and play to white fear, FOX Broadcasting is dripping in delicious chocolate.  History repeated itself as the network enjoyed record-breaking numbers for Wednesday’s “Empire” and “Rosewood” premieres.

Empire boasted 16.2 million views while Rosewood enjoyed a strong debut with over 7.4 million views.  In addition to views, Empire broke social media record, generating 1.3 million tweets during the night’s telecast to rank as #1 most Tweeted one-hour broadcast drama series ever. ABC’s Scandal started a viral trend with hashtags that tracked social media engagement on Twitter and Instagram and Empire took this viral trend to new heights.

Only time will tell if Empire’s numbers will remain steady throughout the remainder of the season. However, with upcoming cameo guests including Tyrese, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keyes and even Oprah, social media engagement is sure to remain at an all time high.
