T.I., Fetty Wap, Rich Homie Quan, Dej Loaf, Kid Ink, Young Dro, DJ Mustard and DJ Premier are the first artists confirmed to rock the stage at the 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards. Reprising his role as host for the third consecutive year is Snoop Dogg, aka Uncle Snoop, reports Billboard.

In addition to a long line of epic acts, the annual hip-hop event has announced legendary rapper Scarface as this year’s “I Am Hip Hop” Award honoree. The Houston native first came to fame in 1991 with the Geto Boys on the top 10 hit “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” Since then, the 44-year-old has released 12 solo albums, including chart-toppers The World is Yours, The Untouchable and My Homies. On Sept. 4, Scarface dropped Deeply Rooted, which peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 — his highest charting album since 2002’s The Fix, which reached No. 4.

Earlier this year, Scarface added to his long list of accomplishments with the release of his memoir, Diary of a Madman. He joins previous “I Am Hip Hop” honorees Doug E. Fresh, MC Lyte and LL Cool J.

In nominations news, Drake leads the pack with 12 nods. Close behind is Big Sean with 10 nominations, followed by Nicki Minaj with nine and Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole tied with eight nods each. The event honoring the best of the best in hip-hop will be taped at Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta on Oct. 9 and premiere on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. EST. Stay tuned for further details surrounding the ceremony. Will you be watching?
