Kim Zolciak is on the road to recovery.
The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star underwent heart surgery this week, and thankfully she’s doing just fine. Naturally, she shared her progress by posting a hospital bed bound selfie on Instagram with the caption, “My [heart] surgery was a success!! I can’t wait to be back on my feet 100%! Glad it’s over! Quite the whirlwind this last month has been…but such a blessing too,” she captioned the pic, ending her scribble with a series of hashtags thanking her team of doctors. “#MyFamilyHasBeenAmazing #TheFalconsHaveBeenSoSupportive #GodIsIncredible #Blessed #Grateful #ThankYouToMyDoctorsAndNurses #AmazingTeam.”
She also shared a sweet snap with her son KJ visiting her in the hospital. “My little man KJ he is the best snuggler,” she wrote.
As previously reported, the “Don’t Be Tardy” star suffered a stroke in September, which stemmed from a blood clot related to a genetic condition she never knew she had — a hole in her heart. Kroy Biermann’s wife, 37, broke that news on Instagram before withdrawing from “Dancing With the Stars” season 21.
Despite the severity of Zolciak’s condition, she’s quite fortunate the problem didn’t arise during the birth of her twins or while undergoing plastic surgery. We’re happy to see her on the mend and are sending plenty of well wishes her way.
