Gerald Green of the Miami Heat experienced a medical emergency. On Nov. 3, Green missed the Heat’s game against the Atlanta Hawks due to illness. However, the illness could be more serious than the initial reports.

According to the Sun Sentinel, Green began screaming at the top of his lungs during the middle of the night while in his Miami condo. When paramedics arrived, he was found unconscious and bleeding.

Green’s teammate, Mario Chalmers, stays in the same condo and remained with him while he was rushed to the hospital. Team officials with the Heat have yet to reveal Green’s illness, but he has regained consciousness and is surrounded by family and friends.

Green, 29, was having one of his best seasons in the NBA and is currently averaging 10.3 points per game.
