It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida, who was sentenced last year to serve 8 years in a Kentucky prison for identity theft and fraud. Although fans thought they wouldn’t see Nida as a free man until 2022, Nida recently claimed that he might be getting an early release.

According to RadarOnline.com, Nida shared a personal letter with them that briefly explains that he won’t be behind bars for as long as people expected.

“Thanks for the love and support. I’ll hold all your contact info and reach out to you upon my release – which won’t be long. Much respect,” Nida wrote in the letter.

No other information was given about Nida’s letter so we’re unsure if he has a legitimate reason to think he’ll be released early or if he’s just talking nonsense.

However, if Nida does come home early, he won’t be coming back to a happy home. Although his estranged wife, Phaedra Parks, said earlier this year that she still hadn’t divorced Nida, she recently said during the “RHOA” season premiere that she plans to go ahead and give Nida the divorce that he asked for. To make matters worse, the bitter exes were arguing for months over Nida’s claims that Parks wouldn’t let their sons, Ayden and Dylan, see him in prison.

Time will tell how this all plays out and we’ll keep an eye out to see if Nida’s early prison release claims are real.
