When it comes to fashion, “Empire” sits on the throne. From rich colors, to bold accessories and sleek suits to curve-loving cuts, every piece fits the personality and versatility of each character. Each unique ensemble tells a story and visually captures the moment of their starring scene with creative direction from the hit musical drama’s costume designer/stylist Paolo Nieddu.

Nieddu is a fashion veteran from various film projects, such as Sex and the City: The Movie and Confessions of a Shopaholic. Let’s not forget he also worked his magic on “Ugly Betty” and “Smash,” along with styling the likes of Nicki Minaj, Andrew Garfield, Lena Dunham, Coco Rocha and Marina and the Diamonds for Nylon magazine. He’s also dressed A-lister’s Kim Cattrall and Cameron Diaz for a variety of prestigious red carpet events.

Most recently, Nieddu has returned to the Lee Daniels’ created hit, where he continues to work his magic and offer tips to recreate the look for your own empire. For some of Nieddu’s best Cookie creations, check out the gallery below.
