A man who served as a church leader on Sundays is being accused of being a rapist and abuser of prostitutes. According to reports by WJLA in Washington, D.C., Gabriel Omogbo lived a secret life after Sunday church service at Celestial Church of Christ.

Omogbo, 33, allegedly had a thing for picking up prostitutes on Backpage.com and beating the women. The first two attacks occurred at a Best Western Hotel where he robbed two prostitutes when they arrived at the hotel.

The next attack occurred at a Radisson Inn Hotel where he had sex with another prostitute and pulled out a kitchen knife. He reportedly told the escort that she would die. He then began cutting the escort with the knife on her arms and legs. He also punched the woman in the face. Omogbo took the woman’s iPad, cell phone and stole $300. But before leaving, he told the woman to wash up and gave her a cup of water.

Police checked surveillance videos from each hotel and recognized Omogbo walking through the hotels during both attacks. Along with being a preacher, Omogbo is also a graduate of Bowie State University.

It proves, once again, that individuals must be vetted thoroughly before being allowed to become leaders of religious organizations. It’s apparent that Omogbo has deep issues and could have possibly harmed female members of the church.

Omogbo has since been charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, first degree assault and reckless endangerment.
