5 things we learned from NBC’s ‘The Wiz Live!’

2. Queen Latifah is equally effective playing a man or a woman. The twist to the updated plot of the Wiz placed a woman (Queen Latifah) in the role of the Wizard of Oz. While there were a few feminism laced lines delivered by Dorothy, our biggest lesson was that Latifah was able to play both a man and a woman effectively in the lead role.
