Nicki Minaj’s career may be soaring high, but her personal life took a tremendous hit this week as news has spread that her brother, Jelani Maraj, was charged with raping a 12-year-old girl.
According to Page Six, Maraj was arraigned in Long Island, New York yesterday on first-degree rape for assaulting a pre-teen.
However, Maraj was freed from the Nassau County jail in East Meadow later that day on $100K bail.
No other information was released about the case by the Nassau County district attorney, but we imagine the Maraj family is devestated by the news.
