The 20-year-old feud between Brandy and Countess Vaughn has finally been laid to rest with a heartfelt social media exchange.
For four years during the ’90s, the two actresses co-started on the UPN sitcom, “Moesha,” but rumor had it that Vaughn was jealous of Brandy, the star of the show. In 1999, Vaughn, who had played Moesha’s best friend, Kim Parker, left the series to be the star of her own show, “The Parkers.” By then, the general consensus among fans was that the actresses hated one another.
In an April 1998 issue of Vibe, Brandy spilled some shocking information about her relationship with Vaughn:
“I think she’s very funny, very talented,” Brandy says. “I just feel like she wants to be in the position I’m in. People tell her, ‘You’re the reason why the show’s successful.’ And she’s told me that before. And she’s called me a b—h to my face. She said, ‘I’m the reason why the show is successful, b—.’ In front of a lot of people. And I looked at her like, Wow. I couldn’t say nothing about her because I wasn’t about to…”
“She knows,” says Brandy of Vaughn. “She wakes up and looks at herself in the mirror and she gets disgusted. I don’t.”
But Vaughn now wants to put all past disagreements behind her and the singer. The “Hollywood Divas” star recently wrote a tear-jerking message directed at Brandy on Instagram:
Brandy responded, accepting Vaughn’s apology and even mentioned the possibility of working together in the future:
I’m in tears right now ???God will do it …?????? @4everbrandy love you ??? #growth #sisters

We’re glad the two talented ladies have finally made up. Hopefully they’ll become close enough that we’ll see them in a project together sometime soon.
