Oprah Winfrey hosts an A-list escape as she, best friend Gayle King, partner Stedman Graham and Selma notables David Oyelowo and Ava DuVernay jet off to an exotic location for the holiday.
“What’s that expression??? When in Rome do as the …. New outfits for the cultural celebration,” King captioned the above snap featuring the entire crew dressed in traditional local garb, which appears to be from French Polynesia or the South Pacific. If King’s Instagram feed is any indication of this week’s festivities, it’s clear that the famous friends will be kicking back and relaxing on the beach, sightseeing, hiking and much more.
In a second snap, King appears to be catching her breath following a hike through the mysterious location. “Hiking this am w/ Urania Greene was told 30 min up & 30 min down.. 45 min in-I said how MUCH longer? Notice Mrs Greene has not broken a sweat … Me hot mess!” wrote King.
Also along for the ride were King’s kids, daughter Kirby Bumpus, 28, and son William. “This is what VACATION looks like In paradise love when favorite daughter &favorite @oprah can chill !” King captioned a photo. “Fav son FINALLY arrives today from Rwanda! It took 36 hours & two days to get here.. errrebody glad to see HIM..”
