Ciara is much more than an R&B star; she’s also a proud mother. This week, the 30-year-old used her Instagram account to describe her relationship with her adorable 1-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn.

“Children are a blessing from the Lord; the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalms 127:3,” the singer captioned the above snap, featuring herself, hugging her son. The singer, who shares her son with rapper Future, 32, previously gushed about her little man, calling him a “gift from God.”

“Honestly, I feel like everything in life happens for a reason and my son has been the greatest gift that God has given me in my life and been the most game-changing thing that’s happened to my life, in a necessary way,” said Ciara on Power 105.1 FM’s syndicated radio show “The Breakfast Club,” earlier this year.

If you ask us, it appears that her relationship with Seattle Seahawks footballer Russell Wilson, and new found faith have rubbed off on her role as a mother, as well. “The other day we were saying, ‘Thank you, Jesus’ and I would say, ‘Say, thank you!’ And he would say, ‘Tank you!’ I’d say, ‘Je-sus’ and he’d say, ‘Yee-yus,'” she previously told People. “It is so sweet!” In August, she explained to “CBS This Morning” that she wanted to inspire other Christians, saying, “You know, I was at church and I think the cool thing is just that being able to share our journey with other people like us.”

It’s been a roller-coaster year for the Atlanta native, who’s juggled motherhood, dropped a new album, trekked out on tour and battled slander from her famous ex. Needless to say, it appears CiCi has her priorities in order. We’re excited to see what the New Year has in store for her, little Future and her main squeeze.

    Sorry C-Error…

That child should have NEVER BEEN BORN.

He is not a BLESSING but just a product of your RELATIONSHIP with Future and now you are a BABY MAMA!

Black WOMEN please stop doing this, and calling it a BLESSING…WRONG.

Being a Baby mama is a TRAGEDY! Stop having babies with men that are not GOOD FATHERS.

    C-ERROR made an ERROR!

Wow…clearly you are bitter and a hater. The child should have never been born?? Really??? You must not have any idea that GOD is in control of all things, therefore, to make this statement is nothing short of evil. Blessings to you, you need them.

So is GOD in control of your — DEVIANT BEHAVIOR?

Stop putting GOD into Man Made — MISTAKES!

Black FOLKS make me very upset, pulling the “GOD CARD.” God had NOTHING to do with your MAN MADE mistakes…remember that.

Bitter would be if she was having my child and I didn’t want it..SO LEARN THE DEFINITION OF WORDS you use.

God is everywhere and creator of all things. He makes no mistakes. You helping somebody now to get closer to Him so they wont be ignorant all they life. Jesus can save but only if you believe in him.

Mimi — GOD doesn’t make mistakes. BUT YOU AS A WOMAN did or can make a MISTAKE…

If your logic was CORRECT. God would have never needed JESUS to DIE for your — SINS! So that you could be accepted into heaven.

            GET THAT STRAIGHT!!!

You black WOMEN are stupid, having babies without being married then expecting that MAN to love a child he didn’t want.

THAT IS DUMB and reckless…GOD didn’t create that mistake YOU DID!

God told Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart” (Jeremiah 1:5)…

God is the CREATOR. Therefore this child… Ciara’s “blessing” was created by his will. He knew each and every one of us before we were even thought of. The fact that something so beautiful came out of such a toxic situation is indeed a blessing…

Whether or not you agree with how her child was conceived has nothing to do with Ciara, Black women, or baby mama’s, but everything to do with your inner convictions…

            You miss interpreted that SCRIPTURE!

It means I put you there, and that would not be the same as YOU AS A WOMAN having a relationship with a man that didn’t want you or a child or if you GOT DIVORCED.

You BLACK WOMEN had better learn and comprehend what you are reading in the BIBLE!

You all are WRONG…as two left feet.

YOU are held accountable by GOD for your SINS/Mistakes and having babies outside of MARRIAGE is a SIN.

Having babies with men that don’t want you is a SIN.

          • RealTalk on December 31, 2015 at 9:08 am

I believe it is you who have misinterpreted scripture all together. Because what GOD taught was love and forgiveness ?

          • Nigg.Newton on January 10, 2016 at 12:38 pm

What you BLACK WOMEN keep missing as TRUTH but it’s actually a LIE or FALSEHOOD is that GOD makes no mistake. THAT IS TRUE. But humans do make mistakes and we do sin. (Hence the need for — JESUS)

SO again, Ciara, having that CHILD was a sin, and not a BLESSING from GOD.

MAN has a conscience for a reason and GOD will judge you based on your DEEDS.

Regardless of how he got here, he’s here. So because he was conceived out of wedlock he’s not blessed or a blessing? Please stop it
