Soul singer extraordinaire Anthony Hamilton has continuously released tunes for his fans, whether it’s been his recent collabs with the Hamiltones or his viral renditions of “Hotline Bling” and “Whip/Nae Nae.” He’s now officially releasing new music from his upcoming album. The first single is “Amen.”
The new song, produced by Salaam Remi and James Poyser, is about meeting a woman who blesses a man’s life in so many ways that he finds himself thanking the good Lord above for her. “Got me saying Amen/From the bed to the stove/From the church to the job/Best thing I know,” Hamilton sings on the chorus. “Got me saying Amen/Girl you looking so good/You keep that cooking good/Best thing fa sho.”
“Amen” is going to be on Hamilton’s fifth studio album, which will include songs produced by Mark Batson, who worked on Hamilton’s 2003 classic “Charlene.” According to Vibe, Harold Lilly and Chuck Harmony will also take part in producing and songwriting on the album.
“Amen” is now available for download on iTunes.
