Kenya Moore was an emotional wreck during Sunday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” when it seemed like she was losing her closest “RHOA” friend, Cynthia Bailey, to returning series vet NeNe Leakes, who claimed that Moore could never take her place as Bailey’s BFF. Now, she’s opening up about the incident and how she really felt about Cynthia.
As fans of the show will remember, Moore lashed out repeatedly during Sunday night’s episode over Bailey. First, she had a major blow up with Kim Fields after Moore accused the “RHOA” newcomer of trying to break up her friendship with Bailey after Bailey chose to have Fields direct her eyewear commercial over Moore. Later on, Moore confronted Bailey about feeling betrayed after she learned that Bailey told her other cast mates that, despite their assumptions, she and Moore aren’t BFFs; they’re just regular friends.
In her latest Bravo blog post, Moore addressed Bailey’s comments and claimed that she was genuinely hurt that Bailey doesn’t consider her a best friend.
“A true friend not only defends you in your presence but in your absence. This is a woman I have adored for over four years and I consider her my sister. When she denied me, it just felt a little too much like rejection, and I’m all too familiar with that. I was surprised and crushed that she would treat me that way. She not only embarrassed me but deeply hurt me. I just hope our friendship is strong enough to withstand this test,” Moore said.
But what does Bailey think about Moore’s feelings on the matter? Find out, after the cut.
