Why did you decide to go natural?

I became natural because I wanted to utilize the hair God gave me, which is the beautiful, natural, and essence of the African American woman.

How do you take care of your natural hair?

I take care of my hair by using olive oil, shampoo that does not have sulfate. The reason is because shampoo that has sulfate can make

African Americans’ hair dry and it take away a lot of nutrient. Sometimes I use coconut co-wash.

Two favorite styles for your natural hair?

Two favorite styles would be locks and retro kinky ‘fro.

Two emotions you felt while going natural?

My natural emotions were freedom and liberty.

Overall benefits to going natural?

Benefit of going natural is having an inner acceptance.

What are your favorite three products for your hair?

Favorite three products are olive oil, Aunt Jackie’s and Miss Jessie’s.

I am natural because…

It is the inner beauty of who I am.

What would you tell a person about why they should go natural?

That’s who God created you to be.

One thing that surprised you going natural?

What surprised me when I went natural was the amount of attention I received.

Has anyone ever asked to touch your natural hair?

One thing I despise is when strangers and people touch my hair. Don’t ask to touch my hair. I am not a science project.
