Ever since Phaedra Parks joined the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” years ago, she’s done an amazing job of expanding her brand outside of just being a popular defense lawyer. She’s become a fitness DVD guru, a certified mortician, and, most importantly, a mother of two. And now it appears that Parks wants to add a new title under her belt because she recently revealed that she has plans for running for office in the future.

According to media reports, Parks spoke about the world of politics in a recent interview and explained that she’s always felt a sense of connection to it.

“I always thought I would be the insurance commissioner, but then when I got into practicing law, things just evolved, and next thing I know, I’m in this entertainment field,” Parks said. “I love politics. I think politicians heal the community through their efforts in the legislation to pass laws that can help the people. Politics definitely plays its role.”

But Parks has more than an affinity for politics. She says that it’s the next frontier that she wants to conquer in the future.

“I’m sure I will,” Parks said when asked if she plans to run for a political office in the future.

“I’m very much so connected to politicians, and my own aunt was the first woman and person of color to be elected into politics in Hall County. So I come from a very political family,” Parks further explained.

Parks didn’t share when exactly she plans to venture into politics, but we doubt it will happen as long as “RHOA” is still running, especially with all of the bad press and skeletons that could be pulled from her closet thanks to the reality series. However, once the show is done, we’re sure Parks will work to become the next celebrity politician.
