Erica Campbell launches new hair line

Erica-Campbell-1

Grammy Award-winning singer Erica Campbell has expanded her horizons beyond gospel music. Recently, the 43-year-old set her sights on another promising industry, hair.

Both an ambassador and partner for VeMa Couture Hair, the “I Luh God” crooner launched a new premium hair line, “Erica by Erica Campbell,” created from 100 percent Indian virgin vegan remy hair, hair extensions and wigs. According to the hair manufacturer, they supply women from all walks of life with the highest quality Indian hair one could find-at an affordable price. In addition to several lengths, textures, and colors, the cuticles of the weft are in tact and aligned in the same direction, allowing the coif to fall in its natural state and eliminate the possibility of shedding.

“I am truly honored to have this special moment in my life to be able to serve phenomenal women throughout the world with VeMa Couture Hair,” Campbell told Essence recently.

VeMa is owned by celebrity hair stylist Vernon Martin who has an impressive portfolio of styling stars such as Kerry Washington, Aretha Franklin, Michele Williams (Destiny’s Child), Lisa Leslie, Venus and Serena William, Kelly Price, Star Jones, Valerie Jarrett, Gayle King and Cicely Tyson to name but a few.

“VeMa is not just your ordinary hair product line, these are hair products that compliment a woman’s true and authentic self,” Martin said. “To have my dear friend Erica Campbell apart of this particular moment is humbling yet fulfilling. It signifies that we have a line of products that not only caters to your everyday working mom, sister, or aunt, but this line specializes in superb quality hair care for women from across all walks of life. It brings me great joy to offer VeMa Couture Hair and our service.”

Campbell’s partnership with VeMa hair is of course the second big beauty announcement she’s made just this year. Last month, the Mary Mary recording artist alongside her mother, Thomasina Atkins, were tapped to collaborate on My Black is Beautiful’s “Beautiful Reflections” program and with brands Olay, Pantene and COVERGIRL to celebrate African American beauty during Black History Month.
