Are you in a relationship with a psycho man or woman? Are you unsure of the signs? All of us can be fooled or may have been (a time or two), as psychos look just like you and me. However, they have no conscience and will not stop until they have turned your relationship into a horror story. Additionally, they know how to turn emotions on and off with normalcy, which keeps you from picking up on their bad ways. So, if you still need some help in deciphering whether you’re dating a psycho (man/woman), please pay close attention to the following:
They prey on your emotions. He/she is very good at finding a soft spot in your heart. They will tell you all the things that you want to hear, appearing to be naïve or innocent. The next thing you know, after two or three weeks, he/she is buying you gifts and telling you that they “love you” and want to spend the rest of their lives with you. They may even slip up and tell you that they “can’t live without you.”
They will intentionally hurt you. If he/she starts out in the relationship by verbally abusing you, before you know it, physical abuse shows its ugly face – please run for the hills, as this person may try to kill you.
They have a dangerous temper. He/she can only hide their temper for so long, until one day they throw a bar stool across the room or punch a hole in the wall – with their fist. He/she is hopeful that you will be intimidated, but this is a clear sign that they are capable of doing the same thing to you.
They alienate you from your family or friends. He/she will alienate you from any family or friends that care for you and will even go as far as to turn you against them or vice versa. This allows them to gain control over you, as now you have no support system.
They have insecurity issues to the 10th power. He/she is always accusing you of infidelity at work or flirting with the waiter/waitress in the restaurant and will verbally humiliate you in public and when you get home, he/she will physically abuse you and then turn around and tell you how they need and love you. Watch out – this is a sick person.
They blame you for everything. He/she will blame you for the black eye or broken ribs, telling you that it was your fault, which is always the case.
Lies, lies and more lies. Everything that comes out of his/her mouth is a lie and you always manage to catch them in one.
Unfortunately, there are many other indicators that are not listed. However, it is very important to recognize the signs early on in the relationship. Being in a relationship with a psycho man/woman truly is a gamble and you stand the risk of losing everything. This is a serious issue and could mean the difference between life and death. Always demand love and respect and if he/she cannot understand, than you don’t need him/her.
