Chi Ali
Chi-Ali, came to fame in the early 90’s as the youngest member of the Native Tongues crew that included such luminaries as De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, and Queen Latifah. At the age of 15 he dropped his debut album, The Fabulous Chi-Ali, and went on to make appearances on a number of other projects before his career hit a stand still in mid 90’s.
In 2000, he was once again a fixture on television sets across the country when he twice appeared on the show America’s Most Wanted after being charged with shooting and killing his then girlfriend’s brother and going on the run for over a year.
Ali was finally captured in 2001 and found guilty of second degree murder. He served 12 years behind bars before being released in 2013.
