There’s no doubt that Amber Rose is serious about branding herself as a celebrity who can stand alone with help from her famous exes. And she just proved that, once again, with the recent release of her latest emoji app. According to media reports, Rose is about to take home a massive check because of the apps success.
Rose just launched her Muvamoji app, which allows fans to use emojis based on Rose’s face and image to communicate with friends.
When the app launched, there was initially some criticism that Rose was ripping off her enemy-turned-friend, Kim Kardashian’s, already famous Kimoji app, which does look similar to Rose’s.
But despite the criticism about Rose copying Kim’s style and app, fans don’t seem upset at all because they’ve downloaded the app en masse and reportedly pushed sales to over $2 million in just the first 24 hours of the app’s release. And the sources say that Rose is going to receive a substantial cut of that money.
Sources also say that Rose received a huge check when she initially signed a deal with the company that made the app. All in all, Rose has reportedly earned $4 million from Muvamoji and the app has only just hit the market.
This is the second time this year that Rose has expanded her brand into the world of apps. Back in February, Rose announced that she’d partnered with Zoobe, “the leading character voice-messaging app,” to have her own custom Zoobe character for her fans to use when voice messaging.
Well, people can say a lot of things about Rose, but one thing is for sure: You can’t say she’s not a smart businesswoman. And after earning so much money on one app, she’s definitely quite the rich woman as well.
