Lamar Odom has finally addressed all those pesky rumors surrounding his “on hold” divorce with Khloe Kardashian. As previously reported, the rumor mill has been buzzing with claims that the troubled athlete had began partying again, forcing Kardashian’s hand to move forward with their divorce, as she didn’t “agree with some of Lamar’s choices in the past few weeks,” a source told People late last month.
Now, after remaining mum about the situation for quite some time, Odom has finally responded. “It gets tough, especially if so much … gets speculated,” the former NBA player told “Entertainment Tonight” earlier this week, explaining how he deals with rumors and criticism. “Only a few people know the truth, and I just keep that close to my heart.”
Despite rumors, one of those people is likely Odom’s estranged wife whom he says has remained in his corner: “We did talk, you know, everything is [up for] discussion. We talk about anything. I mean, we’ve been through a lot. It won’t ever stop.”
Oddly enough, shortly following Odom’s interview, the former “Kocktails With Khloe” host seemed to lose her mind on social media. “The amount of rumors that fly around EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!” she tweeted. “This is not how people should … live. Im a human being. This [is] too crazy.” The “Keeping Up With Kardashians” star also took to Instagram, where she hinted about moving on from her relationship with the former Los Angeles Lakers star. “Letting go doesn’t mean that you don’t care about someone anymore. It’s just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself,” she wrote.
As you may recall, Kardashian, who married Odom in 2009 and separated from him in 2013, postponed divorce proceedings last fall to help make Odom’s medical decisions as he recovered from a near-fatal drug and booze bender at a Nevada brothel on October 13, 2015. Since then, the couple’s relationship status has been pretty stationary.
