It was the “best Mother’s Day present ever” for Angel Massey, mother of “Zoey 101” star Christopher Massey, who was arrested last month in Las Vegas for domestic abuse. The former child star was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and was detailed by security at the Marquee Club at the Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas when “Chris allegedly shoved Cassalei Jackson after the two got into an argument.”

Jackson is the daughter of Shar Jackson, who is popular for her role as Niecy Jackson on “Moesha” and who has made several appearances on “Hollywood Divas” alongside her bestie, Countess Vaughn.

According to David Kenner, Massey’s attorney, “There were no charges filed and therefore no proceedings in court, everything [was] resolved.”

TMZ reported a day after the incident that Massey told his friends he was indeed in an argument with Jackson and when they were leaving the club, she accidentally fell and security jumped to the conclusion he pushed her because they overhead their loud argument. We’re told she’s not pressing charges.

In February 2016, child stars and siblings Chris and Kyle Massey were honored by the Georgia House of Representatives for their outstanding humanitarian work and achievements in entertainment — including acting, writing, producing, animation and music.

The body commended Chris, 26, and Kyle, 24, in a resolution that was recently released. The brothers were recognized for being the first siblings and African Americans to be nominated simultaneously for an Emmy in the same category of Outstanding Children’s Programming. Kyle was nominated for his role as Cory Baxter on the Disney Channel show, “That’s So Raven,” and Chris for playing Michael Barrett on Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101.”

Currently, Massey is a music and television producer, president of MB Records and CEO of Massey Enterprises International, which was established in 2010 to provide continued quality television and music.

A socially conscious entertainer, Massey is devoted to Starkey Hearing Foundation and changing lives.
