It was just this past Monday that RuPaul crowned the season 8 winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” fan-favorite New York performer Bob The Drag Queen. In the short time since her win, Bob has been receiving mountains of love and congratulations from fans, as well as likely enjoying the $100K grand prize as a part of her win. And now Bob has one more major thing to celebrate as news has revealed that she’s got a slot in a new Axe commercial.

As previously reported, Axe made headlines earlier this year when they revealed an LGBT-inclusive commercial from 72andSunny during the Super Bowl that featured a man vogueing in heels.

“We want to make it clear it doesn’t matter how you define masculinity, which is very different than some of the storytelling we’ve done in the past,” Matthew McCarthy, senior director of Axe and men’s grooming for Unilever, said about the original commercial.

Well, after the “Drag Race” finale aired and Bob was crowned the winner, Axe released a recut version of the commercial that features Bob’s winning moment from the finale.

“Who needs a six pack when you have your own thing? Newly crowned RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 8) Finale winner Bob the Drag Queen shows us what it means to ‘Find Your Magic’ Find what makes you, you. Then work on it,” reads Axe’s YouTube description for the video.

Bob spoke about her new spot in the commercial with a statement from Unilever and explained how inspiring the commercial is.

“Sometimes being your most authentic self involves accepting others for who they are. Maybe this ad can inspire someone to be the best they can be,” Bob said in the statement.

We’re happy that Axe is continuing to break through gender and social norms and cater to their LGBT customers, and we’re excited that Bob is already attaining success right after her win. We can’t wait to see what she does next with her new fame.
